dbJ 3D Printed Solutions is a small Perth-based 3D printing company, offering a range of services to schools and individuals alike. Our primary aim is to produce low cost, practical educational resources to enhance student learning either at school or in the home. dbJ 3D’s designers have over 30 years of Science teaching experience which brings with it a thorough understanding of the Australian Science curriculum.
The various individual learning styles are well documented, however with the ever-increasing use of technology in the classroom comes an associated loss of students’ practical skills. How often do you ask students to build things rather than just having them observe an outcome? Many students prefer to learn by doing and building, rather than reading and watching. Our kits provide practical opportunities for these students to better engage with the topic at hand. To help guide students, all of our models come with editable worksheets and video tutorials.
We also offer a custom design service for hard-to-find replacement parts or if you want to bring your own ideas to life.
Remote or Home-schooling? dbJ 3D's models were originally designed on the premise of making Science activities more accessible for remote and home-schooled students. Each kit fits within a 18cm x13cm mesh bag (which fits into a small postage satchel) and makes use of readily available household consumables and batteries.
